G7 Summit 2021

Streamline Leisure was contracted by the Devon and Cornwall police force to provide catering and welfare facilities for the policing services involved in the G7 Summit 2021. With 48 sites built for a variety of purposes and strategically located across a 50-mile radius in Cornwall and Devon, this was an event on an enormous scale, requiring expert organisation and impeccable leadership to manage effectively.

Our team provided catering and welfare facilities via 10,000 sq ft of marquees, serving 7,000 people three times per day (including two hot meals and a premium packed lunch). Working to a strict timeline in highly restricted locations, we ensured the highest levels of clearance in order to keep operations running to schedule.

In addition to catering, Streamline Leisure was tasked with managing the infrastructure of the G7 Summit. This included installing and securing five km of fences, nine km of festoon lighting, 12 km of link lighting, 70 lighting towers and 28 mobile welfare units, as well as all cleaning and waste facilities on site. We also arranged the provision of toilets and temporary power throughout the event.

In terms of staffing, we managed 200 staff across the 48 contracted locations, ranging from chefs and front of house staff to security, stewards, cleaners, drivers and site crew.
