A traditional English countryside event spread over 600 acres, the Great Dorset Steam Fair attracts over 100,000 people each year, and requires expert planning and organisation to keep it running like clockwork. Streamline Leisure act as a key cog in the machine, operating and running security at the event since 2019.
Our responsibilities include arranging wristband and vehicle accreditation for the campsite, caravan park and main area. We also provide reliable gate security and ticket checking at the main event entrance.
We source and manage 140 staff, spread strategically across the Great Dorset Steam Fair site to maintain a safe and secure environment for all guests. With a large quantity of caravans and campervans in attendance, we also ensure that parking runs smoothly throughout the weeklong event.
Our core management team operates from a command centre on-site, adeptly managing all security staff and liaising with emergency services whenever required. We also arrange catering for the security team, ensuring the continued welfare of staff throughout the event.
